Default stage 1, stage 2, stage 3?

i've been googling and yahooing all week trying to figure this out. i gave up just yesterday until i was on ebay looking for a vehicle and it said "the motor completed stage 1".

and now its been bugging me all day. can someone explain what the stages mean?

oh, and i'd like to comment .... i've legally become a law enforcement magnet. why? i dont know. they enjoy giving me tickets of joy and happiness to pay off their salary.

Default RE: stage 1, stage 2, stage 3?

Usually the "stages" mean the aggresiveness of the internals. Stage 1 would probably be just a mild cam and upgraded clutch. Stage 2 would be a little more aggresive cam and probabyl some upgraded valve spring and retainers and maybe stronger rods. Stage 3 is usually an all out race build.

Don't speed and you won't attract attention.
