Default Which Struts???

What is the best struts to replace my stock ones with on my 98 Civic? I do not wish to lower it or anything else I just want to beef up the ride a little and of course I dont want to spend a fortune either. When I do this is there any other things that should be changed while Im underneath there?

Thanks

I would consider doing a very mild drop. H&R OE Sport springs will give you a .25" drop or something like that. Might be worth looking into. Gives you a slightly more aggressive stance, better springs, without being too low at all.

It all depends what you want as far as shocks go. If you're not going to lower (or are only going to lower a tiny bit like the springs I mentioned), I would just buy KYB GR-2 shocks/struts.

KYB AGX would be nicer to have though, due to the adjustability of the dampening force, that way you can decide for sure how you want them after you get them. You can set them from really soft all the way to really stiff with the push (important that you push) and twist of a screwdriver at the top of the shock piston (fronts) and the twist of a **** (**** is on rears). I love mine.

Go with Tanabe because there cheap and effective, or Teins.

For better handling and staying similar to stock I agree with the KYB GR-2's. Plus, you can pick those up for a good price.

There is a little **** on top of the front shocks, with settings of 1-4 on it. It is possible to just turn this **** to a number, without pushing it down first. If you didn't push it down all the way in before you select a new setting, it won't select it right.

I put the KYB AGX's on my car a month or so ago. Man, the ride is great; I sure love these struts!

yea, that. you also have a chance of snapping the **** if you don't push it down
