SWAP or SWOOP
I got a 97 civic lx 5spd tranny and its gonna be my project car.. but heres what my question is i wanna either swoop up the enigne or just do the gsr b18 complete swap and 5spd tranny i have about 3700 after i get rims and lambo doors.so all im really wondering is what would be a better thing to do and what would last longer and get the most out of my car????????????thanks for your time....
what do you want to do with your car, if you want some reliablility then go with a stock b18c swap it will be a lot quicker, or lose some reliability and built yourself a wicked turbo d. but if you go with a gsr, then the potential will be a lot greater in the end if you decide to turbo that in the future
swap all the way, d series is great but the potential isnt as high as some say. but to let you know about 6 months ago i was watching the speed channel and honda has this civic they sponsor, they use the D series and the company knows more about there motors potential then the consumer. But i will say for better results on a budget is a swap, save a little more and go K series. But a D series does have the ability to be bad@ss as well.
