Default Switching transmissions

How hard would it been to switch from a automatic to a manual transmission? Im new to all this but willing to learn and don't need the car running for awhile if its going to take awhile. The car is a 1992 honda civic dx.

Everything bolts in and you can use parts from 92-00 manual civics (minus the 99/00 Si. The EXs will have the shortest gears, meaning best acceleration). The only bad thing is you have to pull the engine to swap transmissions. The hardest part is bolting the pedal assemblies (you can get away with using your automatic gas/brake, but even cutting down the brake pedal puts it dangerously close to the clutch pedal), and that's just due to lack of room to work with. I believe there's a DIY for auto-manual swaps floating around in the DIY section.

It's really not that hard to pull the dash so you can do the pedals right. It's best to find a complete parts car and park them next to each other as you strip the parts off.

Why pull the dash to mess with the pedals? Just take out the driver's seat and lay on the floor upside down.
