could someone please post a tutorial in the DIY section on wiring a tachometer. my 96 ex doesnt have one and id like to get one, the problem is i dont know much about cars and mods yet but id like to learn. so if anyone could either give me a link to a tutorial or briefly explain it i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

Just get a cluster with a tach in it, from an Si or EX..(er.. why doesn't you EX have one?) then it would be plug an play

its a dx...the logo was broken off and i thought it was an ex when i made my sig...

oh ok, you said it was an EX in your post. yeah if you get a cluster from a Si or Ex it will have a tach on it, and it is just plug and play.

Go to autometer.com and find one of the newer tachs. Thats what i did and found good instructions for mine.

yeah the autometer ones are sick mine goes to about 10grand, which is a bit overkill but still, it comes with a led, and 2 like tinted condom things to colour it, i just switched it out with an actual coloured led so the illumination was more powerful.. it comes with instructions that make it easy to use.. and i have an external ignition.. so i just ran one of the wires through the fire wall to get the signal!

for wirring an aftermakret tachometere, in teh engien bay on the drivers side you will find a little blue wire with a cap on it, thast the spare tach wire. It will be right by the fender.You can wire the tach into that and y ou will be all set. THEN wire the postive and negative (*gronud) and you will be set with the tach.

BUt a plug n play clsuter will be easier, liook prolly pretty swetet and be a little bit easier

i gots a cluster with a tach for that car its out of an auto which i dont think will matter but yea its got a tach n stuff let me know if interested it would be sold for cheap but still shoot me an offer if interested since i wont be needing it
