Default Tire pressures?

I have to admitt, I've never owned a little car before, just trucks... and I always inflated my truck tires to about 20psi below what the sidewall says...

Today I noticed my tires are looking a little low... they are 205/15 tires... what pressure should I keep them at?

I checked the sidwalls, they say max 44psi and they're at 40psi but they look low to my eyes....

if the max on the tires is 44 then 40 should be ok. u dont want to have it too high especially if its hot out on most day where u live, could blow the tire..

i usually try to keep my (175/70/R13's) at arround 35psi, when cold, then when they heat up they usually get to about 40psi, so i dont over do it

Your front wheels will always look a little low because the weight of the engine is over the front wheels. If you've properly inflated the tires to the sidewall specs, you'll be dandy.

psi is different for every type tire....as long as u stay under the max psi that ur tire says for daily driving then u'll be fine.

the tire doesnt know what kind of car its on... so you go by what it says inside the door jam.

I thought the info plate pressure went out the window when you changed tire size?
