this has been going on since i got the car last year.... everytime i hit the slightest bump on the road my trunk or trunk area makes a loud rattling noise and its annoying..... anyone have an idea of what it could be?????

 

How tightly mounted is your exhaust/muffler?

Also, check into the following things (some of them are kind of, "duh." Sorry):
1. The stuff you keep in the trunk.
2. The latch/release
3. The rubber seals around the edge of the trunk.
4. The hinges.
5. The tail-lights.

Also, if your back seats fold down, take a peek at their clasps.

...and check how securely your lisence plate is on...

and unless it's some really violent KLUNK noise, it's probably nothing serious like your suspension or anything.
