Ok so i bought a used civic and it was in a rear end collision and had a different trunk put on. Well it came with a different key and its traped in the trunk! The back seat wont fold down and the popper for it inside the car doesnt work! is there any way i can get into it? i dont care if i break the lock i have another one i can put it but i have some very important stuff in the trunk that i need like my school books and some work for work that i have to turn in for a proposal so i dont care what i have to do! any suggestions??

 

Your best bet is to try remove/fold the seat. What year and trim?

 

its a 99 and the fold down wont work its jammed and it wont unlach the metal bar.

 

I'm not familiar with 99. On my 92 I would just try to remove bottom seat back holders and turn at least one of the seat backs out of my way...

 

You need the key to get the backseat down in a 99.

Try sticking any key into that backseat lock.
