Is this even possible, if so what would it entail to actually do, would you just need to find the head off of a gsr engine and flop it on? Prolly a noob question but that's what I am, trying to learn.

 

I'm pretty sure you're talking about a mini-me swap. Basically taking a non-vtec engine and changing the head to make it vtec. Yes, it is possible, I'm not sure what all you need besides the vtec head though.
