i looking to buy this 2001 honda civic with 88,000miles for 4500$ is that to much
how much is to much to spend on a car like this please and thnak you for your help

also i want a good used car to start tuning up and customizing is this an okay car to start with

 

Automatic and a D17 engine, not a good thing to start with if you want to tune it up. Look for a 2000 or earlier model with manual transmission.

 

why is it bad? and sadly it has to be an automatic other than that do you think its a good deal

 

thats not a 2001 civic for one its like a 99-2000 secondly its going on 90,000 miles so its going to need a new timing belt,water pump,belts so expect to spend some tuning dough on maintenance.unless that car is in showroom condition i wouldn't pay more then 3,800 dollars

 

I have a 93 Civic, and it's got well over 200k miles, so with a lot of TLC, that car will last a long time.... but I also think that $4500 is too much for a 2001
