Default Vehicle Value

I need to sell my '96 CX hatchback, but don't know what a reasonable asking price would be. It's an automatic with 320k miles. There's a misfire on cylinder 2 because of low compression, passenger CV axle needs to be replaced, and it leaks transmission fluid when sitting for long periods of time, but not if it's being driven. It has a new catalytic converter, new radiator, and new tires. What would ask for it as is?

so a car with a ton of miles basically a shot motor bad cv shaft possibly making it borderline undriveable. and a transmission leak that could be some simple or something serious. im sorry to say but unless the body of the vehicle is borderline perfect mint shape just call a scrap yard and take what they give you. the problems you list add up to roughly what someone could already buy the car without those problems. if the body is near perfect shape your basically just selling a shell with some scrap metal sitting in it. if you find someone who specifically wants that body style you might make an extra hundred or so over what your getting at a scrap yard. your basically looking at 2 markets for the car. someone who wants that body style to build a tuner so your new tires and radiator are just going to be put in the trash. your other market is someone already has that car with a good engine but its a rusted heap. at which point they will have another radiator already and another set of tires. a long shot price would be 500 bucks but you will most likely be sitting on the car for a while before you find a buyer.
