Hi guys I have a 95 eg8 and I just bought an alarm system for it. Id though id do the installation myself and I know how helpful you guys are.

So where should I start? Best places to mount Siren and control unit? How about the the wiring? Anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

 

mount the brain of the system somewhere hidden so it cant get dismantled very easy. some people went as far as to put it behind the dashboard. if you live in cali, you kinda have to if you want to keep your ride lol

 

on my 95 ex coupe da siren is placed on da i guess its called da firewall behind my intake manifold... its still loud n i can hear all da way inside my apt... caught a guy already tryin to steal my stereo. i had him point blank w/ my .40 on his head! lol

 

can i ask why you diddnt follow thru? if he is on your property, you are allowed to defend it.

 

well he had ran off my property n i caught him in da street. i hit him on da back of his neck n knocked him down. my wife called da laws n i just kept him there point blank til dey got there...

so some updates..

ive been able to locate the ignition wire and starter wires. these seem to be the wires i need to tap into to connect to my alarms control unit. what me and my friend were having problems on were finding the parking light wires and door triggers? according to various manuals they are located behind the fusebox in the driver's kick panel. we spent hours searching but couldnt find it. the parking lights are supposedly a black and red wire..

ok another one i need to find is the power locks wires. now i think this would be located in the door panel near the switches to lock and unlock the doors.......
