Im new to the honda scene so im looking for some info.... I recently had my 90 vw jetta junk out on me so im hoping honda will make life a little easier. I purchased a 1990 civic hatchback cx but i dont know much about honda's. I've been trying to research this car online but I cant seem to find anything on the cx trim !?!?!?! If anybody knows anything about this car or where i could go to find out about it i would really appreciate it. Thanks!

 

CX trim??? dont think there is a 1990 cx. they made a std which had nothing in it no clock or a/c ect.. an si whiich had sunroof ac clock ect... then a DX had a/c clock no sunroof ect. Im guessing you have a DX model. All in all you made the right choice by getting a honda lol i sold my old hatch once for a jetta and it was a big mistake. sold it 2 weeks later and bought the one in my sig. Friends dont let froends drive VW lol. Hope this helps.Please sk any more questions ya got.

 

Find your engine number (see the "which engine do I have" at the top of this category). The CX is typically the most base model, it might have had the lower performance 8-valve engine. Does your engine say "16 VALVE" on the valve cover?

 

Yeah im not to sure it says cx on the back hatch.... It does say 16 valve on top and the engine is a D15b2

 

OK that's the non-VTEC engine used in the DX then. If you have manual (not electric) windows, no power steering, cruise or sunroof; the other base stuff, it's a DX.
