Default want to do a b16 motorswap in a 94 dx hb auto.

ihave around 2600 dollars i could spend and i want to do a motorswap in a 94 dx hatchback auto. i would be doing the work myself. what exactly do i need to do swap. and also my car is an auto and i would be a putting a manuel b16. could you guys please let me know exactly all the parts im gonna need. and im not an expert mechanic or anything. but i do havea little experience with working on cars( oil changes,brakes,suspension, bolt ons). oh and i have air tools. do you think i would be able to do something like this by myself?

Read a lot and search for as much as possible, and you should be able to do it.

I think the perfect answer to this is: you have $2600 to work with. I'm sure you can find a mechanic to your liking for this.


Dang Man, you expect a bunch of guys on a car forum to solve all your problems within 12 hours... on a weekend?!

Hey, when you come back to reality, make sure you bring along some patience... and a little diplomancy might not hurt either.

ok a-hole, relax, its weekend, and everyone has a life.. This isn't some honda technicall support where you call and someone answers you right away. people do have a life.

With that being said, converting from a manual to an automatic requires lots of work. if you are not an expertise, it would be best suggested you get a mechanic do it for you. But if you really do read a lot and BE PATIENT about it, you can do it.
