You're serious?

You know that the revs depend on your gear and vehicle speed, not power right? If you can go up through the RPMs faster then you have a more powerful car and can accelerate faster... it has nothing to do with shifting more.

Partially true, but less rotational mass = less intertia = less torque = less power... to a certain point.

The revs go up and come down faster which in turn means more shifting to stay in the rpm range inwhich the engine makes it's best power.
yeah, so if you shift like a grandma, then youll have to rev match to get it to engage smoothly. but rev-matching is second nature with a nice light flywheel. its just a little blip of the throttle and your revs are up to where they need to be. for a circuit/auto-xer, a lightweight flywheel is a must, esp on NA. to hell with the couple of horses it frees up, its all about control and having the car do what you want it to, when you want it to.
