wheel bearings

RE: wheel bearings
Well, I changed mine (93 civic) a month ago. You have to remove the wheel, obviously, the calipers, rotors, and finally the assembly the bearing is in. Once the assembly is off, you "need" a press to get the bearing out. Then, you NEED a press to get the new bearing in. It was easy popping out the old brken bearing but getting the new one in sucked. Wait, it might have been the other way around, I forgot. But either way, I needed a press to get the bearing in or out, so you'll need one regardless. Put a little lube on the new bearing to help it in place. Good luck!

RE: wheel bearings
If you will change rear ones, job is really easy, just remove the wheel, then remove the brake drum, using a fine point screw driver and a hammer remove the bolt cover, then just remove the bolt with a 1 1/4 wrench and you're done. Just replace wheel bearing assembly with a new one ($50 + or -) and you're done.
