203 wheel horsepower with no tune.

that thing is definitely been built up some.

a k20a has roughly 200 horsepower at the crank straight from the factory. factor in the 10-12 percent efficiency loss at the wheels on a dyno and a stock k20 should make somewhere around 180 wheel horsepower.

not stock... it sounds like it has racing cams at the very least and it's vtec sounds like it comes on sooner, because the engine sounds like a buzzsaw.

I know what you mean about the hp/weight thing. I've seen some stripped and built EG's killing muscle cars for $hit$ and giggles, but I'll be damned if it dosen't seem like a stretch for even a civic with a stock k20 to beat a supra. especially a built supra...which is why I was so sarcastic in my first comment.

I GET A FEELING THAT WHO EVER MADE THAT VIDEO HAD ALREADY PLANNED IT BECAUSE TO ME IT SEEMS LIKE THE SUPRA SLOWS DOWN AROUND THIRD GEAR AND DOESNT EVEN ATTEMPT TO RACE THE CIVIC. I KNOW K20 ARE PRETTY GOOD ENGINES BUT AGAINST A TWIN TURBO 2JZENGINE.......

that'd be a race. stock, which is what he was saying originally, I'm not so sure that it would be that much of a race.

ive never seen a stock k20 or any other swap for that matter beat a supra without some boost or atleast some major engine work...

I think i've seen the video you're talking about and i think in that particular video it has to do with turbo lag. Watch how the civic gets the jump, but after a while the supra stays where it is and does NOT lose ground, in fact it gains some back.

ya i dunno, im guessing the supra would kill the k20 at top speeds.

yes, simply because the smaller displacement k20a runs out of breath versus the big displacement 2jz (which also has twin turbos to help its top end).

but hey, just keep the race short. lol.
