Window Issues

Window Issues
I keep hearing about how automatic windows arent very good except for the fact you can roll them up/down with a push of a button. I have a 2000 Civic EX 2 dr. I noticed that after I roll the windows all the way up (passenger and driver sides) that i can still move the window forward and back.....even more so on the drivers side. And when I roll them up and down it seems to me that the front track on both sides moves out and in. Is this normal or should I replace the tracks?

RE: Window Issues
Some movement is normal. Pull the door panal and look the rubber over down inside the door. The glass itself is a breeze to remove. 2 10mm bolts, and lift the glass out carefully. Both the front and back of the window guides can be manipulated a bit, so you can snug it up a bit..... but not too tight. Remember, some movement is very normal.

RE: Window Issues
Yea, Ive had both door panels off for a while. I had to change the lift motor on the passenger side. When I bought the car, thedrivers side window was off the track and it looked to me like someone had broken into the car before through that window. I havent taken the drivers side window out but as soon as it clears up here for a few hours I will. I just dont want the window too loose. Ive only had the car for about a month now and someone has already broken into it by slipping the drivers side window out of the track.
