Default Is it worth upgrading a 2002 LX?

I've been reading and researching for awhile. I own an 02 LX 4-door MT. I got it because it was a good deal at the time. I used to own an 02 EX coupe auto (leased brand new.) Power wise, i never noticed any difference stock. I know there are intake and exhaust upgrades available, but I'm just not sure if they're worth it for me. I know this specific car will never be a racer. I thought about upgrading the intake and exhaust for a small performance boost (when needed) and for better gas mileage (the excuse I'll give my wife LOL). If I was to do a CAI, cat back, headers and possibly a high flow cat, how much would it boost my MPG (i know this varies by driving style, but roughly?)

from what i know, i would say by the time you spend around 1000 dollars on all of that (for name brand), the few mpg you save each time you fill up which is like what 10 dollars max. it would take OVER 100 fills at the tank which should be like 2 and a half years if you get decent gas milage. IMO i would say if you are going for mpg alone it is not worth it at all because who says that you will keep your car for that long? but i dunno it is up to you.
