Ive seen a guy use aluminum foil, rather than a fuse.

 

... kinda makes me wonder how well the guy kept up with the rest of the car. Oh well, gives me more of an excuse to way over-do my maintenance.

 

I can top that, years ago (close to 30) when my friend's 72 Chevelle, the previous owner put a bolt in the fuse box. It fried all his wiring. Just last year, my girlfriend's Civic had a higher amp fuse for the headlight. It had some horrible aftermarket headlights, I put the stockies back on when I found the problem.

 

wow never seen that and didnt think someone would be that stupid to risk a fire instead of pay like 20 cents
