The engine is running great now. The input shaft bearing went on the trans so I swapped back in my Y8 trans. Well, all is great minus a rough start every once in a while. When starting it'll be boggy for 10-15 seconds and then it'll run like a champ from then on.

I neglected to post this must have swap picture...

This engine is pissing me off like no other!!

My thermostat failed a while ago. It thought it was a fail open but apparently it was a fail open or closed or whatever the hell it wants to do. I replaced it with a new fail open thermostat and while I was at it cleaned my Idle Air Control Valve.

After refilling all the fluids I go to start it and when I turn the key NOTHING! It sounded like the starter wasn't being activated. I thinking wtf?! I looked all around the engine bay for something that I might have unplugged for no reason. Couldn't find anything. I check all the fuses especially the "starter" fuse and they were fine. So I go the start it again and it started.

I was thinking I was nuts until this morning it wouldn't start for me. It sounds like the starter isn't being activated.

We'll see, I have to get off my butt and test things like the clutch interlock switch, starter, and crap.

if you can't figure it out try making sure the starter wire at the ignition switch is getting +12V. the might be starting to get worn out, and if the starter wire isn't get current, then nothings going to happen further down the line.

I tested the clutch interlock switch and it tested out okay. I then went to check the wires that were directly connected to the starter and found this...

Seems that the small wire to the starter had a broken wire connector! Since my 50 pack of female wire connectors is at my parent's place I had to pick up some at the hardware store. First thing tomorrow I'll be getting that done. Hopefully this will do the trick.
