Looks real good, valve cover could've used a sand blast before paint though . Can see all the chunks on it... If you'd want to redo the thing I can sandblast it for you... I can shave it too. I'm shaving/painting a valve cover for someone right now.

Yeah... ...I don't care nearly enough to make it look NOPI good. I am more than happy with a 20 footer. And no shaving for me, I like that it says VTAK.

I hope this week. The only thing left is to notch the main bearing cap so that the eagle rods can clear.

I put the Walboro pump in today. Since the nuts where so worn I had to use SAE sockets instead of metric, I went to the hardware store and got some new nuts. Sure makes the rest of the area look like poo.

looks good... and might i recomend some kinda paint over rust converter the spray cans are good for areas around the gas tank, and a little can of POR15 and a paint brush will work great for everything else small wise like your fuel line there, other brake lines and just plain anything that you dont wanna spray and just use a brush. and that stuff works great!
rusting fuel lines and brake lines can be very bad if they rust to bad and rupture! hell the truck bed trailer i got had the factory rear brake line there and it feel apart when i touched it it was rusted so bad!

Todays rain sucked... supposed to all week too!

Where'd you get the machining done at? Only good shop I know around here is TNT/Midway.

Yeha, today blew. I only had the block and head assembled. There was no machining needed as I carefully pieced together parts that were in good condition. Anywho, I took it to American Imports. They don't do many performance jobs but since all my parts used OEM specs I knew that they would do it right. I actually bought my car from them in 2002.

I'm getting it tuned at King Motorsports, once I have it all in one piece.

Ah that'll be a real nice bill ha, their prices are killed. Between buying s300 and paying the $400 or whatever tuning its expensive. Whether I boost orswap I'm going to get a tune and my friend can get me the hookup at All About Speed, may not be 100% King quality but is better than most! And I wouldn't have to buy s300.
