GReddy_Civic's build thread v2.5-Same car, new direction
so i was offered a $750 settlement today....how insulting. Fist yourself insurance companies. how the hell can you steal so much money in insurance a year from people in case something happens and then not be willing to give it out when the time comes? Srsly....diahfba and dont come back to me until you have something worth listening to
Destruction is right actually. I don't plan on reading 27 pages of what happened =) but $750 is bullsh*t especially if you've been injured. Was the $750 for your car or for yourself?
I had a similar scenario in December of 2007. Some dude on his cell phone rear ended my '95 Civic. Long story short, it screwed up one of the disks in my back, their initial settlement offer was like yours $750. So I got a lawyer and a year later the settlement offer is up to $16,000, due to my back. I wont settle for anything less then 25k considering I might need surgery at some point later in life.
Seriously though if your hurt now it will come back to haunt you later. Get a lawyer and cover your a$$. Don't let the insurance company screw you, which is exactly what most people allow. Most people settle for the $750...
The only down side if you get a lawyer is your not going to see any money for a while. Especially if you end up filing a law suit your looking at at least two or three years for the litigation process to go through. AND the lawyer will take 25-33% of your settlement. But in the end your going to see a lot more then $750.
If you need advise hit me up, PM me I can tell you what else to expect.

o ya. lawyers defiantly the way to go. my dads sister got rear ended and took her 4-5years to finally settle but she didnt get the money she wanted due to a previous injury to her back back in the day... the laywer thought they would dig that up and use it against her so they settled kinda low. she had just enough money to pay her medical bills and laywer. nothing extra like she thought she would get!
defiantly fight them and get every penny you deserve for getting your car butt rapped.

In the char like a month ago when you were first planning on slamming the new civic. You didn't even have it at the time.
And why are all the turbo parts not on the car yet? It's not like you don't have the parts just sitting there. Pull 'em off the old car and throw them on the new one.
