its going to be built. Id like to go with cp's or wiseco and eagle hbeams with a bisi stage 3 turbo cam. Possibly some sort of precision sc44 turbo and then the intake mani i design and most likely a turbo manifold I make too, and a 3" turbo back. it wont be for a long time though

Nice. You never see big D builds anymore.

just a quick question. how much realistically is it to put a turbo on a D motor. I was on another honda site and some guy said that it would be a waste of time and money putting an intake manifold(aftermarket), new coil, dizzy(MSD), and header, on a D motor?

thoughts on this please cause this is what i was going to do..

Realistically, you're looking at $2k for a good bare-bones turbo setup and an all-out setup could be a lot pricier.

Really, an intake, intake manifold, header, and cat-back exhaust isn't really a waste of time. The distributor is, though. The stock ignition system is extremely overpowered and is rarely the weak link in the engine.

You should start your own thread for questions in the proper section. This is GReddy_Civic's project thread. Please do not jack threads again.

You plan on having it retuned with the wideband?
