Kanarrjl's 97 Lx Project Thread
Well I have finally broke down and am making a project thread for one of my civic's
Here she is...
(Drop/mirrors/brake conversion not in pics)
Exterior Mods
Mugen Style Lip
Type-R Grille
Halo/Led Projector headlights
Nakayama rims painted black
Led tail lights blacked out
Shaved front liscense plate holes
Honda antenna block off plate
5% tinted windows
Aftermarket mirrors with Led turn signals
Performance
AEM CAI
Magnaflow High-flow Catalitic converter/Exhaust manifold
Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust
Custom Made Stainless 2.25" Downpipe
Rear Disc Brake Conversion
Tein H-Techs (2" Drop)
BLOX LCA's
Interior
APC Gauges
Manual shifter boot/plastics
APC Shifter
Leather armrest
Alpine CD Player
RE Audio 6.5"/6x9 speakers
1 RE Audio 8" sub (for now)
Soundstream DTR1.2200D (2200 watts Rms power)
Soundstream DTR4.500 (highs)
whoops as Scott pointed out I forgot to put plans in
Plans
install Y8 head
install z6 manual tranny
install arp headstuds
finish constructing custom stainless downpipe(DONE)
rebuild the y8 head with performance parts(titanium retainers,valves,camshaft)
possibly get new pistons and connecting rods
what am I missing?

Stock pistons/rods? If you plan on getting new pistons/rods, go for some ARP rod bolts (~$40). I would suggest going at least 0.25mm overbore for the pistons to avoid piston slap. Meaning getting the block bored as well. You will need bearings, and your crank turned/polished.
What kind of camshaft are you looking into? I would suggest getting an adjustable cam gear, too.
Tuning?
Head gasket? I would suggest Cometic. Never once had a problem with them. OEM is good, too.

cvcrcr99- Thats kind of what I was planing on doing. Im not sure what brand camshaft yet tho.

splat- I do have a suspension drop, its just not in the pics.

Eh i like the bodystyle u went with very ni-ice! I had those headlights on my civic...they were ****. Get some black housing JDM ones or get some cheap oem ones and paint em haha but this car will be prety kool when u getsome progres in it
