I used to want ls mesh but everyone wants too much for them and the 14'' sols have kind of grown on me so ill probably keep those. Dont know what or if im doing anything to the suspension, its just never seemed like something that needed to be upgraded but then again ive never driven a car with suspension mods so i dont know what im missing i guess. I can take some interior pics.

question for you.... how hard is it to swap out the DX intake mani (vertical TB) for the EX intake mani (horizontal TB)? my biggest concerns

1) is the stock throttle cable long enough (I assume it needs to be re-routed)
2) do all the sensors/harnesses/coolant lines reach or do some need extending?

The y7 throttle cable appears to be too long so mine just makes a wide curve to the side of the bay and then runs toward manifold/tb which is cosmetic and doesnt effect functionality really so no worries there. The new manifold should have a sensor/spot for a sensor on it that you wont be using, instead you re-use your y7 throttle body that has the similar sensor. (they do the same thing but have different number of wires or something) so you shouldnt have an issue there. I used all new vacuum lines with it which was only like a dollar or two so that wasnt a big deal. Main thing is that the oem air box wont attach to the new manifold so i stuck a warm air (or short ram, whichever you call it) intake on. Be sure and have that ready to go or your gonna be screwed untill you get it. Untill I had my sri I rigged an oem intake piping/filter from a grand am. I used that for a week, it was haggard and looked like ****.

By the way I have a spare z6 manifold with throttle body and all if ur interested. I even have a new intake mani gasket too. Not sure if its really worth shipping cost to sell it but if ur interested let me know.

So update... I havent had a lot of extra cash to spend on the car due to getting prepared for my twins (born 11/8/10) but I did get myself a p06 ecu, cheap header, golden eagle block guard and a honda head gasket. Just installed header tonight. I figure when I change the head gasket I will mill my y7 head, install block guard, and have to get an adjustable cam at that time to compensate timing for the mill. Also I want to switch to obd1 and use my p06 ecu so im guessing all that I need for this is the obd2a to obd1 jumper harness right?

So my z6 head was sitting at a friends house and he somehow broke a few pieces to the rocker assembly. Since then ive gotten a y8 head thats been milled and cleaned. I swapped out the heads and put in a knock sensor. So far it definately feels like more low end power. I still have not even wired up vtec. I have a OBD2a p2p that I can use for now and I will keep the p06 around for eventually if I decide to boost/tune.After I get the ecu changed my goals for the rest of the year will probably just be suspension, a painted front end, and to have working air conditioning.

Pshhh.... working A/C is overrated

I am planning on yanking mine out (didn't work last year and the exhaust manifold I want isn't compatible with it)

^ yea but you don't live in Oklahoma! He does lmao and I know it gets prety damn hot there during the summers lol

A/c is a must in Tejas so I'm sure that in Arkansuks and Oklahoma it'd be a necessity too lol
