Reaper's Mustang Project (abridged version)
That is GOLD, josh. Bronze is a darker color than gold.
Anyway, just ordered the Steeda X2 ball joints and new exhaust hangars. Like I said, this weekend I'll throw both parts on, as well as cutting the springs (I might cheap out and not replace the other strut. I know I'll blow the new struts within a few months anyway, so I'll probably say f**k it and just get an upgraded set after I get my tax returns). I drove a slammed civic for how long, I'm used to bouncing (and yes, it's possible to lower a car enough that you can't avoid the bouncing, I've been there. That level also blows out brand new heavy duty shocks in a few months too... you gotta be willing to pay if you want to be a lowrider
)

from the factory, it goes up on the fender, but my car was r-titled when I bought it; both the front end and rear end were replaced, so I'm assuming whoever did it was just too cheap/lazy to order a new vinyl. Like I said, when it gets warmer out, the vinyl's coming off.
Also, I got bored in class and made a more in-depth project plan for the car since I'm keeping it; assuming I keep the car for a while, I'm aiming for 500+ rwhp from a built/blown 4.2l engine. I'm guessing the build is going to take 2-3 years (that's how expensive everything's going to be) before it's actually finished. Anyway, I'm on lunch break right now, so when I get home again after class, I'll change the front-page to reflect the new project. The smaller things I've come up with (finishing the suspension, flywheel/clutch, etc) should be done later this spring/early summer, but other than that the build's going to take forever lol... I'll probably look into getting another Honda as a DD this summer after I find a decent job lol
Also, my ball joints and exhaust hangers still haven't shipped... if they don't ship out later today or tomorrow, I doubt they'll be here by the weekend, so I might be waiting another week to do all that fun crap.
*edit: Frontpage's been updated with the new project list.

I'll probably end up getting a 5th/6th gen civic this summer for a winter car/DD... but I intend to drive the m3 and stang on a regular basis; I'm pretty much hoping gas doesn't skyrocket again
but I figure I'll probably be getting in the 17-22mpg range in the stang and probably 20-25mpg in the m3; keeping gas in them shouldn't be too bad... then again, I plan on buying another sportbike in the next year or so, so there's another vehicle, but with their whopping 4gal tanks, a bike is a $10 fill up (and that was with my f4i when gas was $3/gal for regular).

w00t!!! I got a call from American Muscle yesterday saying the exhaust hangers were on order, and they'd be in within 1-2 weeks; I had them hold the ball joints until the hangers were in and ship them together. Well, guess what I come home to find on the porch today. That's right, a box containing a set of Steeda X-2 ball joints and my dual exhaust hangers
The Steeda X2's:

The exhaust hangers:

And what's better is I was reading the install instructions for the ball joints; they come with metal spring spacers that are completely optional. Install the spacers on top the OEM springs and use the ball joints, and the ride height stays the same. Ignore the spacers, and the ball joints alone lower the front of the car 1/2"... so I'll probably end up cutting 1 coil off the front and rear springs when I cut them, and I'll still get a slightly raked stance
*edit: Also, the ball joints, and hangers will probably be installed either next weekend or the weekend after it; I still plan on picking up my Energy Suspension swaybar endlinks/bushings and some bronze wheel paint (probably won't paint the wheels just yet, but I plan on painting my front swaybar (and maybe springs), and I want the paint to match the wheels. Also, I'll probably end up painting the valve covers the same color.
