Reaper's Mustang Project (abridged version)
i laugh at the new mustang i think it is... 80K dollar car and they are making it so youcannt clone it! if you get in a wreck you have to send them your damaged parts before they will ship you replacement parts and the freakin hood alone cost was like 18K bucks! FOR JUST THE HOOD... hell no way id want to even try to clone that b****.LOL hell the cost of just a new hood is the price of a new car! crazy but im sure it will keep the clones to a minimum... now youll just have the STOLEN parts/clones
True, but you gotta take the good with the bad. I mean, the last time I detailed the mustang was over 2 months ago, and the tire shine is still on the tires (though it's wearing off a lot).
I'm still amazed by that freshly-detailed pic. It's getting me excited for detailing it tomorrow lol... I mean, look at this ish:

Sexy, right? That's a nice shine

Okay, trent. You can drive down here to buff and polish the clear coat on the car that's going to be re-sprayed in less than a year. Personally, I'd like a good finish; I'm not aiming for perfection. I'd like to get rid of the scratches and swirls in the clear, but considering the paint will be on the car for less than a year, anything more than wash/claybar/wax feels kind of pointless.
That's like saying the Mugen Civic Si is ridiculous because you can't buy Mugen parts for your 8th gen unless you prove you own a Mugen Civic Si. Manufacturers do this all the time (especially when the car costs $79k compared to a $30k Mugen Civic).
As far as replacement parts go, who cares? The GTR is the same way (a $20k transmission?), but the difference is Nissan hasn't lowered the cost of the transmission.

Ok, after almost 5 hours of detailing, I have the car somewhat clean. There's still swirls, still scratches, but it's shiny as f*ck and the paint feels like glass.
Anyway, teaser shots. I'll post up the rest of the pictures when I feel like it.

You're going to hate when I do the suspension then. I have full intention of doing everything at once (front one day, rear the next), taking a ton of pictures, and then giving you guys one or two teasers. Then, the next day I'll post up another teaser. And I'll keep doing that until I get bored with it and finally post up all the pics
Anyway, here's the pics (teasers aren't as much fun when it's something simple like detailing):
I didn't get many pics before I started just because of the fact that red cars don't show dirt very well. But you can see how much dirt was actually on the car if you look at the side skirt here:

After washing:

Getting ready to clay-bar and wax (Yeah, I wasn't f*cking around today lol):

After clay-bar and wax:

Like glass, right?

(ding, sparkle sparkle. Told you it was shiny
)

And just having a little fun with one of the better pics:
