Got my VHT aluminum color engine paint and Everycoat Metal Glaze in the mail today from Summit... they ship fast as hell!

I have a summit racing like 15 min from my house lol. they got some really good stuff there.

 

Time for picture updates. Still working on the bay, getting pretty sick of it LOL! Taking my trans off my motor this week, taking it to work and one of our head techs is going to help me tear it down. Hopefully not too much is messed up, I'm expecting it to need an input shaft bearing (that's a for sure) and probably a diff bearing as well... leaked some mtf out the axle seal so that is my guess. I am hoping the isb being blown messed up didn't affect any otherbearings, I don't want to spend a lot on the trans...

But the welding is going okay, not too many holes to finish up. Leaving the seams as is, found out you can get sued if you weld the seams up solid since you are effectively getting rid of spots that are supposed to take the force of an accident, rather than stiffen the **** out of it. So I'll avoid the liability and the time to do it haha, I am so lazy... The only hole that has given me a problem is the passenger side tower, there are 2 like 1/2" diameter holes that had rubber plugs in them (both towers have 2). And the first hole I did, it was just downhill from the start. The pass fr just sucked, the tower just kept melting away and making a bigger damn hole. So I patched it the best I could before burning more holes, and did some ghetto fixing. I had a tube of quiksteel sitting in my box, so I put a bunch of that stuff over the metal. I figure it'll give it some strength, put a good amount on the area and really pressed it down. At this point I am not worried about the strut tower failing on me or anything. Being the location of the area, it does not look like it takes a ton of stress, and there is another piece of metal underneath it about 3/4" that adds ridgitity. The hole got kind of out of hand as I tried patching it, but didn't get to the corner or down a side or anything, so it should be okay. Metal doesn't look warped or anything either. made the suspension travel up and down and nothing is binding so I think I am all good.

And my stickers! I ordered them from the same site Kenny G did, never heard of the site before, went there, and saw a lot of stickers that were a must have lol. The site is awesome, sent me a ton of extra stickers. The Facebook ones you have to buy a minimum of 10, I ordered 10, I got 28 lol. They gave me a few extra Domos and JDM as wut also. There will be a Pedobear on my other rear window (the other has the no fat chicks)... the POS sticker my friend wanted for his Ranger lol.

They're cheap man I'm telling you...they prolly would have sent you even more extra stickers if you told them a member (me) pointed you their way...they sent me a shi-ite load of extras cause one of their regulars told me about it. I have sooo many extras. If you want more I wouldn't mind sending you a few if you want more...just pm me if you want some. I can take a pic with my phone of the extras I'm willing to give up.

Yea def be going back to them eventually, the day after I ordered from them they came out with Angry Birds stickers! I was pissed!

And I just want this damn bay done haha, getting so sick of doing it. My dad sold his Vette last week so I have a little more time in the garage now.. not AS big of a rush, still need to hurry up on this. Starting to get nicer here in WI, supposed to be like 42 tomorrow! Back down to 30s next week though lol, but days that it is 40 I wish I could drive my car soooo bad, all my friends are bringing their cars out for driving and I can't!

 

Yah I just notcied that too lmao I spent $14.05 and got 30 some odd stickers (not the FB ones you got either)...mostly cause they sent so many HOG extras. So that was my sticker money lol (I'm satisfied with the ones I have anyway so yah).

 

I didn't get any stickers of their company lol, which is too bad because it would've gone under my hood for some adertisement lol. Especially when y car is featured in Honda Tuning! (lmao, I make myself laugh)

That's all I keep telling myslelf lol. Hopefully I can be done with welding in the next couple days and start putting down the filler and getting it smooth. Everyone at work is saying I should spray gun it, they expect the spray paint to look like ****. So I may go and buy a cheap gun and spray down some paint myself.
