I'm in WI and we have snow just as bad which = lots of salt. I'm noy clear coating mine, just the special primer and the special purple stuffs. If I get towed and the chain chips the paint I'll just sand blast it and repaint, not that big of a deal to me.

 

well I'm probably going to order it blox dual bend ss this week and energy bushings. Only thing is I want a ss that sits low and from what I read the blox ss doesn't sit much lower than stock.

 

I was thinking about whether to get single or dual. Dual are designed for B series so I think you have to shave the bushings down or something? Can't remember.

 

Dual and single bend are just on your preferences.

 

Yay picked up my color matched spray paint today, a nice $23 lol. Going to be painting over xmas break, skirts lip grill. Also going to paint my rear tow hook purple. Also bought a valve gasket set today so I can get the spark plug seals in the z6 valve cover, then I can start painting that too.

Over break, I am probably going to order a b&m short shifter. They look like they sit lower than the Blox, which I like and the price is nice.

Also looking at buying a b&m fuel pressure regulator and gauge. The Blox liquid gauges don't freeze right? I read somewhere they are okay to -60 degrees but just wanna make sure. I was looking at increasing the fuel pressure a few psi.

My other question is when installing the new fpr, where do you initially set the psi bolt? My worry would be having the psi too high from putting the bolt in too far or not far enough. Would I just put it like midway and just turn the car to the on position to prime the fuel pump? Would that giev me a read on the psi without starting the car? Thanks.

 

What a great fking start to my christmas break. Coming home from school today I lost control of the car in the snow, got a lil bit of air off lil snow bank then went up a bigger snow bank at the end of someones driveway, got stuck on top. A random guy pulled over and pulled me off. (The tow hook I made worked , bent it from pulling sideways but it held). I drove it home, it is in my garage on jack stands atm defrosting before I do a major inspection. I got the bumper off. From what I see so far, the motor and everything is okay. Alignment will obviously be bad. Bottom half of the bumpers broke, foggies are okay, splash shield is ripped, the lip ripped off at the screws but that's fine. The oil pan and what not didn't look dented, like I said I'll check over lines and stuff later. The radiator overflow tank flew out since I have it tucked in the bumper but everything is okay with it, just spilled lol. So I'll update this as I find mroe stuff out. Looks like no more short shifter, since I am going o have to buy a new bumper. I am really pissed, sucks cause bad **** always happens to me whenever things actually go right. Merry christmas to me.

Well checked everything out, motor and tranny and everything is okay. I got really lucky. The bumper is mesed up on the bottom, and the lip got ripped off but it is definitely usable. As of right now I took off the fogs since the one doesn't mount well, and the splash guards gone since it was hanging. The lip is obviously off too. I don't plan on buying new bumpers until spring since who knows what will happen over the rest of winter, I'll just have to deal with the crappy bumper. I'll get a front and back bumper since my back one sucks, and I'll get them and my si spoiler painted all at once. I am going to get an alignment next week probably. I will still be doing stuff to my car over break, since I'll be getting a bunch of stuff for christmas. I'll keep this updated.

damn that sucks man, i hate driving on roads when their snow covered and icy, but in empty parking lots, its fun! good luck with the fix, glad its not nothing major
