Looks good!

I would suggest to go ahead and pick up an Aluminum radiator. You know what company I will suggest (not eBay haha), so I shouldn't have to even say it and that I can get a semi-decent price for you.

^Yea suprisingly I got a lot of attention with my car lol. Sweet *** meet though, can't wait for their next one in September. But King is this weekend and will be amazing, pictures will be taken. Extremely famous shop for their race cars they've built and being a Mugen dealer. Pretty much the biggest event here locally. Mugen reps from Japan are even here for the show and they dyno cars all day long.

Did some work today, stopped at Advanced and picked up a few things. I've decided on my clutch/flywheel combo I will be getting. Going with the Exedy oem clutch kit like before, but going with an F1 racing 12 lb flywheel. From what I've seen/read their flywheels are fine, and I didn't want to go with the Fidanza 7.5 lb. Way too small, especially for when boost comes along. So I'll take 6 lbs off the stock flywheel and run one in the middle. That will be ordered tomorrow I think.

One of the things I got today was an oil pan gasket. I was anxious to throw it on, wanted to see how the bottom end of the motor looks. Thankfully there were no spun bearings or anything out of the ordinary lol, looks really clean. So far I am happy with this motor. Tomorrow I will have one of the service writers carfax the vin on the motor to see what happened and mileage. If the mileage really is between 60-70k like they said I am not going to do a t belt water pump, technically wouldn't need it for another 30k and the belt itself looks fine.

I will also be ordering all my OEM Honda stuff tomorrow.

Here's my update on parts status (bold=ordered/have):
-Coolant temp sensor: Ordered a used one off eBay off a B16 = $15
-TPS: Ordered Blox = $38
-Rear t bracket: New oem = $58
-Valve cover gasket set: Bought from Advance = $20
-Dizzy cap: Bought from Advance = $20
-Clutch: Exedy OEM clutch kit + F1 12 lb flywheel
-Header: eBay header = $62
-B16 trans: currently talking to a guy I know who has a jdm b16 trans, waiting on a price
-Mounts: Bought Drop Engineering from CVC = $225
-Shift linkages: Same guy I know with the jdm B16 trans has linkages, waiting on price
-Axles: Same deal with same guy as lonkages
-OEM stuff: tomorrow
-Radiator hoses: OEM hoses = $35
-Intake manifold gasket: Going to pull the intake and polish/clean it up
-Energy shift linkage poly bushings: The tighter the better = $14
-P2t ecu and obd2a to obd2b conversion harness: looking
-eBay radiator: need bigger inlets/outlets = $75

And I am going to go eBay CVC, I don't think you could beat the $75 it'll cost me for the radiator lol.

Also in case anyone cares here's all the stuff I am buying from Honda...
-Intake manifold gasket
-Rear t bracket bolts
-Map sensor bolts
-New drivers side firewall plug since there's no wires anymore and I Had to cut the old one, which fell off at some point and is long gone
-IACV gasket
-Radiator hoses
-Throttle body gasket

and MAYBE (hopefully not) a t belt and water pump

I will continue work on the engine tomorrow... planning on having the intake manifold off tomorrow and getting the whole motor roloc disced and ready for paint. Spent the day today pulling more stuff, putting dizzy together, pulling a dowel pin that just kept breaking and got stuck in the block, and putting the pan off. Not very productive if you ask me.

I can beat the sh!tty warranty you will get with it. All I can say is good luck getting a hold of the company when if the rad breaks/leaks. Why not get a thermal intake gasket instead of a OEM paper gasket?

I hear you on the non-productive thing. I tried to install a new half shaft in the H22 and after it wedged against the motor, I found out it was from an AT, so the half shaft stuck out like 1" farther than the MT version. It is now wedged against my block and in the trans. I will end up having to sawzall a half shaft "foot" off in order to free the shaft from the motor and pull it out from the trans.

Sucks with the halfshaf. Hopefully it isn't too much of a loss. As for the gasket, I've seen it go both ways with them. And $8 oem or $45 hondata, there's some cheap ones on eBay for $12 but I wouldn't trust them.

More stripping down! Intake is off and I am working on cleaning it up. Soaked it in simple green inside and it looks really good, the inside is almost as clean as my y8 manifold my friend tanked for me. I used a bristle 3m roloc disc on the outside to clean up the outside, I will be painting the intake like I did the y8, but going to primer this one. I don't think I did no the y8, it is flaking off now. Did a very small amount of porting on the manifold, pretty much just touched all the edges. I won't even consider it ported, just cleaned up.

Me attempting to be organised:

Front of the engine:

Back of the engine with its new oem filter lol:

Intake manifold:

And I'll repaste this once again:

Here's my update on parts status (bold=ordered/have):
-Coolant temp sensor: Ordered a used one off eBay off a B16 = $15
-TPS: Ordered Blox = $38
-Rear t bracket: New oem = $58
-Valve cover gasket set: Bought from Advance = $20
-Dizzy cap: Bought from Advance = $20
-Clutch and flywheel: Exedy OEM clutch kit + F1 12 lb flywheel = $241
-Header: eBay header = $62
-B16 trans: currently talking to a guy I know who has a jdm b16 trans, waiting on a price
-Mounts: Bought Drop Engineering from CVC = $225
-Shift linkages: Same guy I know with the jdm B16 trans has linkages, waiting on price
-Axles: Same deal with same guy as lonkages
-OEM stuff: tomorrow
-Radiator hoses: OEM hoses = $35
-Intake manifold gasket: SpeedFactory thermal gasket = $30
-Energy shift linkage poly bushings: The tighter the better = $14
-P2t ecu and obd2a to obd2b conversion harness: looking
-eBay radiator: bigger inlets/outlets = $70
Decided on the 12 lb clutch, right before I ordered it I saw they have a 9.5 lb one. But I don't want to go that low, so 12 lb it is. That is 6 lbs less than factory flywheel so it'll be a big difference, but the rpms won't kill as fast as the 7.5 lb.

Also bought a SpeedFactory thermal intake manifold gasket, not too expensive and is hopefully worth it. And I plan on going an intake manifold soon so this way I don't have to a new gasket then.

Also had the guy at work order my oem stuff. I decided on doing a t belt, but not a water pump. The car this engine has has a sketchy history, we carfaxed the vin at work. Not going to say anything more because I don't need any accusations, don't take this as me saying it is a stolen engine though. But I also ordered the little rubber gaskets for the injectors since I took the rail off and a new intake mani stud and the other stuff I previously mentioned. Getting really close, just need the damn tranny and linkage and axles. I hate how much money I've spent lol, watched my back account drop pretty good. Can't wait to sell the d16 and get money back lol.

SpeedFactory?! That's the first time I've heard anything local to me get mentioned lol. They make good parts and the guys at their shop are really helpful. It's almost impossible to stay organized during a swap haha, my garage looks horrible right now.

glad to hear you've decided to go ahead with the new t-belt. I'd say its worth the money, just as a precaution, in the long run. Honestly, if I were you, I'd do the water pump too.... but I'm a worry-wort. I'm sure it'll be fine.

I'm not worried about the water pump. Not super common to them to go out, it's just recommended to do it while it's easily accessible. But I don't pay people to do my work, people pay me lol. So if my water pump is to go out it's no problem doing it. Look at my bay, there is nothin in the way lol.

I got the mounts today cvc. I finished painting my block/head/intake and it looks really good. I'll post pics tonight when I'm done working on it.
