Can't figure out what that's off of o_O
it isnt out of a tl... whats left is nsx or legend... 230 hp non vtec sohc c32 or 290 hp dohc vtec c32 lol. but hence the "vtec" it isn't out of a legend. what else am i missing?

Let me brake down the J32 motor's.
In 01-03 this motor was in the Acura CL and the CL Type S.
In 01 the CL-S and base CL only came in auto's + tiptronic.
In 02-03 they offered with a 6 speed with a LSD.
After 03 the CL and Type S was killed.
Base CL came with 225 Hp 217 lb·ft
CL-S came with 260 hp @ 6100 rpm, 232 lb·ft @ 3500-5500 rpm
These 6 speed's are very rare to find.
At this same time, Acura had the TL and TL Type S from 99-03
These motors only came 2 ways, auto trans and tiptronic, this motor never came in a manual transmission.
The base TL had 255 Hp
The TL-S came with 260 Hp
In 02, the Type S got a little extra Hp

Then in 04-08 the TL got a new body and engine style.
Now, 04-05 is one type of engine and the 05-08 is another and it all has to do with wiring.....this is where it get's a little crazy.
They Type S was droped from the line up durning this time, but from 05-06, any Acura TL that was ordered with the 6 Speed ( and it came with LSD ) was called the Sport model, even though it never came with a badge.
All others came with tiptronic.
Now, in 07-08 the Type S was brought back, only 07 was offered with the 6 speed trans and the J32 was droped and replaced with the J35.
08 Type S only came with tiptronic, and the J35.
04-08 Base TL ( even the Sport model ) Came with 258 Hp 233 lb·ft
07-08 Type S came with 286 Hp 256 lb·ft
These new newer J32's are not the same as the one's in the CL and the other TL's
This motor was all new, nothing is compatible, and while the CL and the other TL's came with headers that came off the block, now its 1st the cats then headers.
Even the block's are different.
From 04-08 Acura did a little research and found that out of 50 TL's that were sold, 1 was a stick, Acura later droped the 6 speed again.....only to bring it back again for 2010, but thats another story.
So take a guess what motor i have.
