okay. so i got my d15b head today via UPS. Can't take pictures because my macbook is at apple getting a new keyboard (something got under the key and i broke the key trying to get it out. lol).

anyway, he gave me a free brand new OEM D16Z6 head gasket (12251-P08-004)... i'm wondering if I should use this one or do I really need the D16Y8 head gasket. This one was free and it's brand new, still in the packaging. From the looks of it, the middle layer is metal, and the outer layers are something else.

let me know what you think.

Oh, I know it'll fit, what I mean is if I should use this or go for the D16Y8 gasket.

A JDM D15B head is a D16Z6 casting, so you can use that for reference.

Basically the difference is that the head gasket I have (OEM D16Z6 part number) is metal middle layer and something else for outer layers. The D16Y8 gasket is the same shape and everything, but it's 3 layers of metal. The D16Y8 gasket is stronger, but i'm not sure if it's worth getting since I got this one free. I'm probably going to sell this gasket though and buy a D16Y8 one.

I know it will fit, but I mean what it will change in compression. I was looking for thickness comparisons. Being as your boosting, I figured you'd want as low comp. as you can.

well, got new windshield washer nozzles again today. The first time I bought RSX ones I had to adjust them down and eventually the plastic broke, causing the spray to be messy.

This time I was more careful and wasn't as perfectionistic about it. Got them adjusted quicker this time, before the plastic could wear down from being adjusted so much.
