Should I get a test pipe?

Do you think the cat is going to be a problem once I get the turbo done?

from what i've heard, test pipes are pretty "raspy" sounding...have you looked into just running an open DP?

i run a magnaflow high flow cat with my flow 50 system on my N/A setup, sounds great! but i'm switching to an open 3" DP this weekend with my turbo kit

Have you ever cut a cat in half? They are pretty restricting. Even the "high flow" cats are. I have one on my setup, but once I start my turbo project, I will be switching to a 2.5 test pipe.

Have you seen the write-up/dyno that was done to disprove this? Hopefully someone has the link to this they took a em1 with stock cat, high flow and test pipe. With high flow gained 2 hp I believe and test pipe was another 2..... so ya.

Relocated my amp today. Later on i'll be getting a new box that sits between the back of the trunk and the strut bar, with the subs facing upwards, so there would be nowhere on the box to mount the amp...

Problem solved! On del Sols with ABS, there is a large ABS computer in this spot. On del Sols without ABS, there is just a big chunk of foam.

(subs are back in but it was too dark to snap pics of it finished)
