Advertising of the site? Does any forum do this?

 

I think the name advertises itself. That's how I found this place, anyways. I searched for a Honda Civic Forum, ha ha.

A lot of people I talk to are paranoid to post about their projects. There are many shady people around. It's ridiculous...

One thing that might be a good idea is a chat box?

 

Whats the point of a chat box on a forum though? Doesn't make any sense IMO. But if it drives traffic, then why not I guess.

 

Lots of forums advertise, but it's mostly done word-of-mouth. It is done by attending meets and telling people, handing out business card pamphlets for the forum, and telling any Civic or Honda owners you meet.

But i'm a little worried that the forum has already gone too far downhill to recover. We do need to focus more on newer Civics also so that we can gain more discussion and new members.

 

You guys are making me scared that I'm gonna lose my favorite forum.

 

Im going to put an ad on craigslist in the cars for sale section. That might get attention maybe yall can do the same in your area. I like the idea of business cards too, i could put them on peoples windshields when i go shopping and when i see them out driving.

 

Lets see how long this takes to get flagged

Also, I know vistaprint.com lets you design business cards and you get 250 shipped to your door for 10$. Im going to look into this. Might be the same price or cheaper at kinkos ill check that too.
