$229.04 to install my exhaust system....
Is 229.04 worth it? I made an appointment for 9:30am today to have my exhuast system installed. I get ther and they say it will take at lest 3 hours for the cat to cool down for them to start... It was only a 5 min drive to these place... So i made an appointment on friday.

What kind of exhaust system did you buy? j/w Also, if you drive the car, the exhaust system will get hot, fast. It would need to cool down a little prior to the tech's working on the car.

Oh god... no it is not worth it. The hardest part of installing an exhaust kit (I am assuming cat-back) is getting the stock exhaust system off. It has been on there for about 10 or more years untouched most likely.

its definitely not hard to install an exhaust and it'll save you alot of money doing it yourself. 230$ to put an exhaust on is way expensive to me. in my opinion do it yourself, working on your own car helps you learn alot about it and i mean come on, i was 17 when i installed my exhaust! =)

Is your cat built "into" the header? If not, look below
For the stock header, I believe there are nine nuts on the top that you can see, one from a bracket connected to the block, and two spring bolts to the cat. From the stock cat, there should be three nuts which connects the cat to the b pipe. There will be two spring bolts connecting the b pipe and remaining exhaust pieces at the rear pass. axle. Oh yea, you have the two o2 sensors as well to remove and swap over to the new header and cat.
Most likely, you will have to get new bolts for where the b pipe meets the axle back, and where the cat meets the b pipe. Reason: The magnaflow cat most likely does not have those studs sticking out that the OEM cat has, and the new b pipe will most likely not have the nut already on it that will accept the spring bolts.
I hope that helps. If you want, I can go snap some pics (of my car) of exactly what I am talking about.
