shop supplies can mean ANYTHING... towels, hand cleaner, penetrating oil, gas for the welder, broom, trash.

just buy some penetrating oil and soak down the bolts the night before!!!! will help alot!
defiantly do it yourself and save alot of cash.... IMO most PITA part is the rubber hangers. i use some WD40 and some plumber pliers... put the one side of pliers onto the metal tip and the other side on the rubber hanger and squize the hanger off that way... once the rubber hanger is over the end alittle its easy to remove.
otherwise those dam hangers are a huge PITA!

Thats the most ridiculous quote ever for an install. I had my car piped from the header back, new high flow cat, muffler, all bought and installed at the shop in 45 min and for $300. The high flow cat and muffler were most of that. You need to find a new shop.

update:

i have removed the axle back, and unbolted the mid pipe from the header down pipe. My mid pipe is one whole pease, i have it just hanging on the rubber things. Its getting late, ill remove mid pipe tomorrow.

i have an appointment at the shop which is like 3 miles down the road for a transmission fluid change. Will it by ok to drive it with out the mid pipe, just stock header with cat?

yea, it'll be okay to drive, just incredibly loud and raspy. No big deal for temporary use.

I drove around like that for nearly a week when I got my del sol. The midpipe from my civic swapped over, but the S-bend and axle-back had to be trimmed.

Update:

everything is removed. Do i put header togather then lift it in? Do i put RTV on bolth side's of gaskets?

The install should be easyer than removing?

yes to all 3 questions

don't put RTV on the gasket that goes on the head though, only the midway flange gasket. There's no need to put it on the other gaskets.
