Default 02 LX catback

I just got my catback for my 02 civic coupe LX . The catback I bought is from Ebay so yeah maybe it's going to sound like **** but I am on a thight budjet and not looking for something perferct . So if that catback sounds ricey. if I weld a megan racing or magnaflow universal muffler on it would it sound and performe decent ? The catback is a 2.5 stainless mandrel bent tubing n1 style . got it for 280 $ shipped . the one on my car is coming appart so this one is more like a replacement over stock (not loocking for performance and really really good sound ) Thanks

I'm going to have to agree with tknaub, you get what you pay for.
But some people get lucky

you def get what you pay for....depending on how the tubing is, welding on a magnaflow, apexi, greddy, DC, or some aftermarket muffler should change the tone. i'm not sure how much of a performance gain there is.
