'82 intake manifold gasket replacement
I'm struggling to loosen the two central, bottom bolts. The constraints (at the moment) are
-that I've left the carb attached to its multiple rubber hoses and secured it towards the firewall
-the exhaust manifold is still attached (but the support bracket has been removed)--I thought this would allow me enough swing room with the tool described next, but not so.
-I have a "crooked wrench" , 12 mm, double-ended, used in Toyotas and Hondas as a "door hinge remover"-- this "s shaped" wrench allows some access to the bottom two bolts that have, so far, resisted my efforts to remove, I haven't been able, from below, to get an angle on the two nuts so that I can loosen them.
-I am working from below the jacked-up car.
Who has performed this job without the intervention of aliens, whose arms are like rubber, etc.?
