ok so i was wrongish

there is a SR version and CAI version

AEM researched both for every car suposedly and which ever gave more hp is which one they made for that car

so depends what car you have weather or not its SR or CAI

You are right. Some V2s are true CAIs (like mine - see my install procedure link in my sig). AEM states in their website that they position the filter in the coolest area, but I can't see how anywhere near the top of the engine can be as cold as the bottom of the bumper. My filter is exposed to the wheel well, so there's always cold air being pulled in.

Doesn't the AEM website show what the V2 looks like for specific models? Check it out.
