Default AEM v2 Intake System?

i was just wondering if the AEM v2 Cold air intake system is worth the money it goes for? I've heard from people that its really nice and worth it and heard its not really any diff from a normal cold air intake. Now i know its a dual chamber intake and supposed to get more cold air to the throttle body and into the engine and so on...but is it really worth about $200? just need some opinions...Thanks

If you can get it for 200 than its definitely worth it. Id say its worth it anyways. I have the V2, its a short ram, but I love it. Well worth the money Imo.

I say its not with that kind of money you can get ebay cai and b&m shifter. Ebay cai works well just like any other brand name the only difference is the brand has a name on it and is carb exempt. I have one on my car right now and its fine. Some people will say that have fit problem or so but I didn't run into any problem. It just bolted right on like a brand name one.

Just remember... You get what you pay for. But like you said hondaimports, the v2 is constructed differently with its dual chambers. So it is different than an ebay intake. It all depends on if you really want the extra 2-3 hp. If not than the ebay intake would be good for you.

+1 for the V2, if you have the money to get one go for it. I have one on my car and love it, nice sound and power gain was noticable.

I dont know about that $88 for a V2 intake the lowest ive seen was $150 and havent ever seen that again. I usually see the AEM V2 intakes going for about $240-260. But i want the best for this car....i have an accord and went the ebay no name brand route on all the parts i got for it. didnt turn out bad...i got the N1"style" exhaust kit...had to cut it shorter...was too long....got a no name brand CAI no problems..noticeable gain...got my headers $90...no name brand...worked fine....spark plug wires, strut bars, tail lights, headlights....everything worked fine with no name brand...but ive always been tryin to get a 00 si and finally got one and really want the best parts....dont want no name brand....there might be a difference there might not,....i guess u dont know till u find out...right? I just want to know if the V2 intake is the best intake u can get for the si? Or if i plan on gettin greddy turbo in bout 8 months...should i just not even get the v2?
