i cant do the bending. i was saying i would put your cat in for free.

The outlet is 2.5" but the main thing for them is fitting it to the adaptor. This header works with many different size piping as long as the connecting plate/nuts/bolts, etc line up.

In all honesty, wait for the turbo, then at the same time do the exhaust, becuase the turbo mani and the downpipe that come with the kits are different from anything stock, so **** wont line up. I think you would save time money and effort if you wait.

if you dont want to wait, you can do this
Because the turbo kits come with a mani and a dp, you can get a header, keep the stock downpipe, have them only run the 3" to the stock downpipe, then when you turbo it, **** will all bolt up nice and neat. More or less make your own catback because the turbo kit come with a new mani and a downpipe and its hard to guess fitment without having the parts.

yeah that's what I'm thinking. So, I think I'm going to just order a cheap ebay header to hold me over till spring. I'll have them replace the piping with 3" piping and then i'll be primed to go for the turbo. I ordered a CEL elminator today. I'll probably order a header today too. I suppose I will also find a good resonator and muffler as well. Once I get the CEL elim., header, and muffler, then I'll have the guy change my piping. Then I'll sit tight on exhaust until the spring. I suppose I might buy some kind of SRI to take advantage of what little performance boost I can get from the 3" piping. And then I"ll have the air box out of the way. Which will lower the instal time of the turbo a little too.

Got any recomendations for a muffler that can attach to 3" piping?

i like magna flow, personally. Borla makes good products, but there are tons of companies that make mufflers and resonators for 3in piping.

why dont you just gut your stock header. Thats what i did. Its the best race header on the market. thickest metal, the best welds. Took a pressure washing a pliers and some steel rod. 30min later, its was ready to go.

Make sure you get two cel elim.

why 2? Doesn't the first 02 sensor actually take in info for ecu? How is an aftermarket header different for the first sensor?

Not exactly sure, but i do know from trying the same thing and thinking along the same lines that you do need two. not sure if it has somthen to do with reading air flow or what, but **** will throw a cel. I promise.
