im gonna be buying one Real soon here, i was wondering if its gona require me to get a new Cat or not? someone told me the bolt configuration was different from the stock cat than on cat-back systems, or is it the same and just a Direct Bolt on?

cat-back means it is after the cat... you will not lose it. As for bolt pattern, buy the one for your year and it should work.. you should buy a hi-flow magnaflow cat, though... lately everyone has been really talking them up... procivic.com has them for under 90 bucks...

 

I have a Megan Racing cat-back on my EG. Botls up fine with OEM cat.
Like Themoogly said, buy the one for your year and if it's a coupe or sedan, and it should fit.

 

i have one on my 97 hatch and it fits fine. The sound is also great. I love it. You also need to get universal muffler hangers though, well for me i did.

 

Yeah, I had to get universal muffler hangers too.
I keep losing one of the hangers, so now I only have one hanger holding it at the back... not too smart lol
Maybe i should just get it welded.
Yes, it does sound nice, but it's loud on mine without the silencer. For just driving around i'll use the silencer, and if i want to be loud i take it off or just floor it with the silencer on, and it's going to be loud too would've been nice if i had a turbo since it's a 2.5 inch cat-back..
