Default Apexi n1 mix up... can it still fit?

I bought an apexi n1 universal from a friend of mine who needed $75 for a speeding ticket. In return for me paying his ticket he gave me his n1 universal that he was going to install on his bmw. I'm going to a shop tomorrow to have it put on my 05 ex but I just took look at it, measured it, and found out that it has a 75 mm inlet which is the TURBO model n1 for a turbo engine. (i have a stock 1.7 sohc vtec.) I had planned on replacing my stock catback pipe with a 2.25" but now im not sure if i can link up the 3"(75 mm) inlet muffler to my car (pretty sure that a 3 inch cat back pipe will NOT fit over my axle as normally installed on an 05 civic). Does anyone think that I can use a 2.25 or 2.5 cat back pipe to install to the 3" inlet on the muffler by use of a flange, connector etc, or do i need to use a 3" cat back pipe. Or possibly any ideas otherwise on how to link up this muffler. would love to see it on my car since i got such a steal on the price. Replies would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

like the guys at hondatech said, sell it and buy one that fits your car. matt has it right on: "Sure, you can put it on, but it's going to look, sound, and perform like crap."

most muffler shops will be able to bend a tube into having a diamater bigger enough to fit. (thats what they did with my old fart can)

Or you cansell itand be on your way money-wise to getting a cataback exhaust (and if it actually is a LEGIT Apexi muffler, you should get quite a bit of money for it)
