Default Bought an AEM v2 Intake for my 96' EX Coupe, Installation questions

i should be getting it in the next few days, this IS my first Mod to the car(just bought it last week) ive read around and decided im gonna do the install myself because it doesnt look like its too hard, the only thing i noticed is that you have to take off the front right Wheel, now, this is basically the only part im concerned about, what tools will i need to do this? i was also wondering if i should disconnect the battery before i do to the install?

any help is appreciated

thanks

jack up the car, take the lug wrench, loosen the lug nuts, pull off the wheel, take a screw driver, loosen the bolts to the fender liner, and peel it back. u dont have to disconnect the battery but most ppl do.

I hope you have good tools. You have to change your transmission mount. I'm 100% serious.

you should have a good set of 6-point sockets (up to 19mm) with extensions and a 18" breaker bar. Bench vise might help too.

c'mon guys, we've been over this before. this is the reason that they specify it's for manual transmission only on 96-00 Civics. The intake comes down in front of the tranny and then turns into the space in front of the wheel, behind the bumper. You replace the mount right there with a different shaped piece that has a mounting hole in it for the intake. Here are pics from my install last year. https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_94366/tm.htm

I take this only applies to the V2? Because I didn't have to do anything like that for my AEM CAI
