That's an incredibly bad idea, and you should never work on your car that way. The scissor jack is NOT meant to be used like that. Please don't try to install your intake until you have the proper equipment.

i put some bricks under there incase the scissor jack fails.

but ive run into a bigg problem. the bolt stud that holds the motor mount thing that you have to take off is on sooo damn hard, its almost like its welded in, ive been trying to get this thing off and it wont budge, how did you guys get it out? is there some solution i can put on it to loosen it up, i tried rubbing some gasoline on there but that didnt work. heelllpppp

like I said in my first post, PB Blaster...

so the stud won't come out of the mount? I had that problem too. You'll need a bench vise and an open-ended wrench, and a long pipe or something to extend the handle. You'll need a lot of force to get it out

i got it out finally with the help of the neighboors, although i have run into another problem, the little nipple on the intake? well it says to connect the air recurculation tube or whatever, well my stock intake never had that, it only had 2 things that connected to the tube, so im not sure what i should do or even why it was like that, would it be ok to put a peice of duct tape over it and zip tie it on? what should i do?

helllpppp

IIRC you have one hose and one sensor, mine is a 99 and has 2 hoses and one sensor. Someone else had this question once, i think he ended up getting a plastic/rubber cap to cover the hole, from home depot or something

ok ill go there tomorow, ive got it temporarily capped though.

but i just took her for a spin, HOLY SHYT this thing added alot of power, i feel like my engine grew 2 more cylinders, i almost shyt my damn pants lol. it sounds mean as hell too once you open up the throttle. despite the 4 hours it took me to put it in, it was deff worth it, i would HIghly recomend this kit to anyone. now i just have to get this hole covered up.

why would AEM not provide some kind of rubber plug? they should know by now that some cars dont have 3 plugs.
