Bought an AEM v2 Intake for my 96' EX Coupe, Installation questions
yeah it's just the V2, it takes a different path than the other cold air intakes. look at my engine bay pics.
everyone who's always asking, why does the transmission matter for the intake, this is exactly why.

all i have is basic garage tools, i dont think we have any socket wrenches or nothin, maybe my neighboors could help me out, but what exactly do i have to do to the tranny? is it just screw off a peice and screw on a new one or is it more complicating?
I'm with you too TunerShark after seeing that guys DIY I would be kind of scared I didn't know the V2 didn't go inside the fender. As for tools you can go to Sears and buy like a 118 piece tool set for 39.99 and it'll be handy for AGES. I suggest doing so it's a great investment. I'm just as confused as you with the tranny piece.
hey do i have to get under the car to install this? just curious to wether i should put it on jack stands or not, or can i work from the wheel well?
thanks
thanks
Yes, you will need to put it on jackstands, remove the front passenger side wheel, and remove part of the splash guard / fenderwell liner.
You will need a standard set of metric sockets and a long breaker bar, regular metric wrenches, screwdrivers, and probably a can of PB Blaster.
