Default cat back,metals?

whats up everyone?..so im wanting to put a cat back exhaust system on my 93 civic ex coupe, but its auto, dont talk down on me cause its auto, and dont tell me to get a 5 speed,i can't change cars as i do with underwear lol.so i went to a muffler shop to see how much ti would cost me,custom cat back, with a magnaflow muffler,$265 at one place.and i called another and they said that around $200(also with a magnaflow muffler).the 2nd and last place i called, told me the type of metal was "aluminized" somethin like that,i asked whats the difference,he said aluminzed consist of aluminum and metal.the 1st place i went to,the guy just said it was aluminum.

so to get to the point lol.is there such thing as: aluminum, and aluminized?..or is it the same thing and the first guy didnt tell me what it was exactly?...and if there is a difference between both, which is better?...and how much time does the piping last?a few years?if so how many?.........leaving steel piping aside please.thanks.

-edit: thats the name of the thread cause im asking whats the difference of these 2 metals.thanks

oh yeah,i live in socal/orange county, incase the prices have anything to do with it.

i would go with stainless. there's no set years an exhaust will last. if you live on the east coast where's there's a lot of rain, snow, and salt, the exhaust won't last nearly as long compared to somebody living in the central valley of california

for cheapest exhaust setup, buy the muffler, and go to a shop and tell them to bend some pipes for you, in the size you want.

thanks bro, yeah, its pretty cool lol....now since i got it installed,i dont realy step on it much ...lol.its cool though,i sometimes still do,but not as much, cause if i step on it,i'll like to hear that muffler and drain the gas tank quick,so ill d it once in a while, just to show that it has a couple ponies in it...lol....i'd like to get some civic SI wheels though, right now its sittin on 14's..they look alright,but.....ill probably save up again, and look out
