Default catback question

so here's the thing. ive seen a few catback exhaust systems say they will fit 96-00 civic EX's but will not fit a 96-00 DX model. is there a difference?

Yeah, the difference is the LX and DX have the cat built into the header and the EX has the cat after the header. So, the catback for a DX will have to be longer than that of an EX. You can solve this by just getting an EX header and cat along with the EX catback. More expensive but you'll have a MUCH greater choise of catbacks.

I have a stock EX header that I'd be willing to part with, shipping would be hell though.
