confused on converting DX to EX???help

same here i all i care about is not getting tickets and passing smog
unless it doesnt effect my power then ill be enviromentaly friendly

so for my catylitic converter im getting a universal or direct fit?'
also do i need carb compliant or OBD2???

direct fit. The link I provided is the least expensive direct fit Magnaflow cat on the web that i've found.
Wouldn't OBD2 and CARB compliant be part of the same thing?

well i did some research and OBD2 and CARB are two different things, and apparently the part you need isn't CARB exempt. Sorry man. I guess you'll have to get an OEM EX converter.

apex-i and greddy catbacks are CARB exempt last time i looked

so i cant have an aftermarket cat?

what if my mechanic said he could make one that was legal and carb and everything?
